Glue Stain Removal from Carpet

Glue is very useful when it comes to repairing something broken. Children also use it for different tasks to do their homework projects. It is very easy to get a glue spill on the carpet. You might be surprised, but cleaning it up is not that difficult. If you know certain things, you will be able to fix the problem in no time.

The next thing to do is to blot with a clean cloth. Before you do that, you need to prepare a cleaning solution. Mix one teaspoon of non-bleach detergent and a cup of warm water. That will dissolve the glue and cleaning it up will be much easier. Blot the stain until no more glue is transferred to the cloth.
When you are done, check if the stain is completely gone. If not, apply ammonia solution to the affected area. Mix a teaspoon of ammonia with a half cup of water. Blot the spot again until the stain is completely removed.

Finally, dry the area. Place a stack of paper towels on it and let it absorb the liquid. It is also a good idea to use a hair dryer. It is very important to dry the area, otherwise some unpleasant odours could be produced.
